SM: Bakayoko destined for Chelsea return – Milan could make a new bid under Rangnick’s orders

London to Milan and then London to Monaco but fate does not change: Tiemoue Bakayoko is destined to return to Chelsea.

According to what has been learned by SempreMilan.com, Monaco have decided not to exercise their option to buy the Frenchman which is set at €40million. Bakayoko will return to Chelsea where, however, he does not seem to fall within the plans of the English club.

Monaco among other things at the moment seems not to be even interested in starting a negotiation despite knowing that they can get a small discount. The economic conditions of the recent period prevent the Ligue 1 side from making a huge investment on a midfielder who has not impressed this year – at least not the same as in his first experience in the principality.

That’s why Milan are now trying with a new loan, with an option to buy included, just as in 2018. It remains to be understood what Ralf Rangnick’s opinion will be, who by the way will have a decisive meeting with the top figures of Elliott Management Corporation in the next few days in London.

Chelsea do not intend to pay €6.5million-a-year for a player who would spend the season on the bench, so they want to get rid. At the moment the chances for a return to the Rossoneri remain low, but soon it could become a concrete possibility for two reasons.

The first is the Frenchman’s contribution two years ago with the Milan shirt where he had become a permanent starter, the second is Bakayoko’s desire to return to Milan where the 25-year-old has remained on good terms with all his old team-mates.

To overcome the obstacle, Elliott would aim for a substantial reduction of his salary. Now the ball goes to Ragnick: the Frenchman could be the right man for his 4-4-2, given that it is the game system with which Bakayoko obtained his best performances.

Bennancer-Bakayoko: AC Milan could start from this midfield. Technique and muscle.
