SM: Sale of duo to raise €35m for Milan; Musacchio set to leave; new frontrunner for Bonaventura

By Vito Angele -

Next year, probably with Ralf Rangnick in charge, there will be a new revolution. A revolution that will inevitably have to start from the transfer market, especially from sales.

In this regard, Lucas Biglia and Jack Bonaventura will no longer be part of the squad. The former should return to Argentina, with Boca Juniors and Independiente following closely, while the latter has various offers from Serie A: the latest, that of Atalanta.

According to what was collected by SempreMilan.com, Gasperini’s team are currently on pole. In Bergamo, Jack could play the Champions League: a possibility that attracts him a lot, and beyond that he would return to a place where he is well loved.

They are working on the basis of a 2/3 year contract at €1.2million per season. Torino always remains in the background though, with president Urbano Cairo keen on the 30-year-old.

Caldara and Suso add to the treasure

From the permanent purchases of Caldara (€15million) and Suso (€20million), Milan are set to obtain €35m euros, a treasure to be able to invest on the market. Atalanta have decided to try and sign Caldara permanently, but the Bergamo club would like a payment spread over several years.

Suso, on the other hand, has received important reassurances from his club: even if Sevilla do not reach the Champions League he will be bought.

Out with the old, in with the new

Funds could also be raised from the sale of Mateo Musacchio as Sevilla are keen on him too. If Milan were to decide to buy Simon Kjaer then Musacchio would leave, with LaLiga the most likely destination, where Valencia are also keeping tabs.

With a contract now close to expiration in June 2021, Milan value Musacchio at around €6million. It is of course good news for Matteo Gabbia will definitely remain, as the young defender has recently extended his contract and is part of the Rossoneri plans for the future.

He is a profile considered very solid by the Rossoneri management: both for the technical qualities, but also for human ones. Seriousness and constant commitment are two values that Gabbia is showing every day at Milanello.
