Tuttosport: Tatarusanu’s future already decided amid upturn in fortunes

By Oliver Fisher -

The increase in defensive solidity has helped Ciprian Tatarusanu quiet some of his doubters but he is in the last few months of his time at AC Milan, a report claims.

Saturday’s 1-0 win over Monza was a third straight by that scoreline and it means that Tatarusanu has now not conceded for 353 minutes across all competitions, which has certainly removed some of the spotlight on his after the terrible run in January in which the Rossoneri conceded 18 goals in seven games.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Tatarusanu’s future has already been decided as the Romanian goalkeeper is only under contract until the end of June and there is virtually zero chance that he renews his deal.

His place as the back-up goalkeeper will be taken by Marco Sportiello, who is also on an expiring contract with Atalanta and will therefore make the short move to Milan on a free transfer ahead of the 2023-24 season.
