Torino manager warns Milan-linked Belotti has been ‘non-existent’ away from home

Andrea Belotti has been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan in the last few months as his contract will expire in the summer. However, the Rossoneri seemingly have their doubts about such a move.

Belotti is obviously a very experienced striker when it comes to playing in the Serie A, having scored 102 goals in 263 league appearances. This season has not been as straightforward though, with injury struggles and only four goals.

Speaking at his press conference yesterday, Torino manager Ivan Juric shared his thoughts on Belotti and had some hard-hitting words for him. In fact, he made it very clear that the striker needs to improve away from home.

“For Gallo [his nickname], I have always expressed appreciation, he has very high professionalism. He plays a certain type of game at home, while away from home he has much less impact, non-existent. I expect him to play games with great determination away from home as well,” he stated (via MilanNews).

It remains to be seen if Milan will make use of their interest in the player and make a move this summer. It seems they have other players in mind, such as Divock Origi, but the Belotti option cannot be ruled out.

  1. 4 goal this season. What a striker and have 3,5m euro salary in Torino ( highest paid player in Torino). Not recommended to sign
