Tuttosport: Milan set to meet Chelsea over midfielder outcast next week – the latest

By Nikita Fesyukov -

The AC Milan management is working on many fronts to further improve the squad at Stefano Pioli’s disposal. One of the departments to be reinforced is also the midfield, as Maldini looks to add an alternative to Franck Kessie in the Rossoneri lineup.

And one of the hottest names on the director’s list is that of Tiemoue Bakayoko, who played for Milan during the 2018/19 season, making a very positive impression.

And even in the last two seasons, the Frenchman seemed close to returning, but eventually joined Monaco and Napoli, both on loan.

According to Tuttosport (via Milanlive.it), Bakayoko would be a safe choice for Milan and the player will definitely leave Chelsea by the end of August.

The Turin-based paper adds that an important meeting will take place next week between the Premier League club and Milan to define the chances of the Rossoneri bringing the player back to Milanello.

However, it must also be noted that not only Milan are interested in the player, but also Napoli and Juventus, who reportedly consider the player an alternative to Locatelli.

  1. Didnt sassuolo president say that if locatelii wasnt sold on august 8th he would stay ? tomorrow is the 8th so guess the competition will be fierce unless bakayoko simply refuses to join any of the other teams.

  2. Milan should stop wasting our time with that Bakayoko. Why can’t they move to Germany, Spain or Netherlands for quality midfielders?
