Tuttosport: Pioli ready to drop Piatek as Milan’s goalscoring issues continue

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is reportedly ready to drop striker Krzysztof Piatek for the game against Napoli after the international break.

The Rossoneri have massively struggled to score goals consistently so far this season having netted just 11 goals through the first 12 games – their lowest amount in 25 years.

Part of that problem is that Milan have not had a goalscorer to rely on, with Piatek currently the top scorer having netted three times but only once from open play.

Aside from that, only Hakan Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez (each with two goals) have scored more than once this season.

As a result, Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) are claiming that Pioli is ready to change things up ahead of the game against Napoli in just under a fortnight.

The Turin-based newspaper reports that the Poland international ‘continues to disappoint’ and as such Leao could get the nod from the first minute against Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
