Watch: Giroud discusses his save with France’s goalkeeping coach – “Courage”

By Isak Möller -

Olivier Giroud made a crucial stop in the game between AC Milan and Genoa at the weekend, following Mike Maignan’s red card. Upon arriving at the France camp today, he discussed it with the goalkeeping coach.

The No.9 had to put on the gloves for the final minutes of the game and ended up making a crucial save to Genoa. He also made a couple of collections and watched a free-kick hit the bar.

Discussing the crazy game with France’s goalkeeping coach and the assistant manager, Giroud said that it was all courage (see the video below).

“I still have a little bruise there but it’s okay. Yeah, that’s it, all courage. My look when the free-kick hit the bar? Calmness, calmness because nothing can happen,” he stated.
