Despite coming from different economic standpoints, and technically viable bids (from Besiktas), the will of the Rossoneri and the Colombian defender (due June 30) is set to continue: it is to find the Economic Agreement, and barring accidents it will be completed.
Zapata appeared in 16 Serie A matches for Milan this campaign, and is still clearly viewed as an important squad player for the San Siro club.
He signed his current contract in 2013, a three-year deal taking him to this summer, having joined from Spanish club Villarreal in 2012.
