A Bola: Milan battling Lazio and Wolves for Braga defender with €25m release clause

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are one of four clubs who are interested in signing SC Braga defender Bruno Viana in the upcoming window, a report claims.

It is no secret that Milan are looking at potential centre-back options for the summer amid the doubts over the futures of Mateo Musacchio, Leo Duarte, loanee Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia – who could be loaned out.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola (via SportWitness) are reporting that there are several teams in the running for the 25-year-old Viana, including Premier League duo Watford and Wolves as well as Serie A rivals Lazio.

A Bola write that Viana currently has a release clause of €25m built into his contract but none of the sides mentioned are expected to fork out that amount at present.

The Brazilian has made a whopping 47 appearances this season across all competitions for Braga and arrived in Portugal from Olympiacos back in 2018 for a fee believed to be in the region of €3m (as per Transfermarkt).
