The news that Fikayo Tomori has signed for AC Milan on a permanent basis has attracted an outpouring of mixed emotions from fans.
A statement on the club’s official website announced that Milan have indeed exercised the option to make the initial loan move of Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola Tomori from Chelsea into a permanent deal.
The English defender made 22 appearances after arriving in January and scored one goal away at Juventus, having made an excellent impact since his arrival by forming a formidable centre-back pairing with Simon Kjaer. He has signed a four-year deal until 30 June 2025.
Having been with Chelsea for 16 years and graduating from the academy, it has caused some Blues fans to feel a bit disappointed they have lost such a talented young defender. Below are some of the reactions of fans on Twitter to the news…
