AC Milan youth defender boards plane to England ahead of Newcastle move

Defender Cathal Heffernan has been spotted boarding a flight to Newcastle ahead of a move from AC Milan to Newcastle United.

Heffernan joined Milan in the winter of 2022 on an initial loan deal after quite the saga in which the operation was off and on at various points.

That then became a permanent deal a few months later, but he is now set to join Newcastle having even played in two pre-season friendlies for the Magpies U21 side.

The teenager was photographed by his father at the airport getting ready to board his flight to Tyneside.
