Sky: Milan have Eintracht Frankfurt star back in their sights – contract expiring in 2023

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain in pursuit of a new centre-back and they have got Evan Ndicka of Eintracht Frankfurt back in their sights, a report claims.

According to Sky (via MilanLive), the Rossoneri management consider Japhet Tanganga of Tottenham to be an option to reinforce the rearguard after Alessio Romagnoli’s departure on a free transfer, but a name has resurfaced.

Ndicka may be a bit more difficult to sign than Tanganga given that the latter could arrive on loan, but nevertheless the 22-year-old Eintracht man has a contract which expires in June 2023 meaning he could leave for a fee below the €32m market valuation that Transfermarkt have on their website.

As a left-sided centre-back who is physically strong and good in the air at 192cm tall, Ndicka can also be used as a left-back in case of need, which is the kind of flexibility that Stefano Pioli is known to like.

  1. Forget this. We dont have cash money to pay frankfurt, there is no way frankfurt accept loan option due to one year left contract. Just continue loan japhet

  2. Very very doubtful that we’re after him, even Tottenham was looking at him (and Bastoni) and I think he’s going to be expensive even though it’s his last year of contract.
