AC Milan spoke with agent Giuseppe Riso at Casa Milan today and it was not just about Sandro Tonali and Daniel Maldini, a report claims.
TMW confirms that discussions took place this afternoon at Casa Milan between directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara and the agent of Tonali and Daniel Maldini – Beppe Riso – to speak about their respective futures.
During the talks though, Milan also asked for information on Davide Frattesi of Sassuolo. He seemed certain to return to Roma but the negotiations between the Giallorossi and the Neroverdi are at the moment on ice. The clubs have not yet managed to find an agreement from the point of view, so Milan are seeing if they could get themselves into the race.
Milan are after Renato Sanches but Paris Saint-Germain could get there first, while Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa is also on the list, but Frattesi could be a useful option who knows the league and is a home-grown player.
He has a contract with Sassuolo until 2026 and a Morata-style operation of a paid loan with option to buy could therefore be facilitated, with Milan keen on exactly that.
So we are now in full Galliani mode of just knocking on club doors asking who we can have, before being turned away without enough money 😂
There seems to be literally no strategy
That is EXACTLY how that job works. There is no player catalogue with player prices for Directors to sift through. They aren’t exactly going to use TransferMarkt as a basis for player valuations
We seem to have no strategy, My satirical argument is that rather than go for players we pinpoint strategically, it seems to will take anyone who’s available. This is no slur on M and M they seem to have their wings clipped. Frattesi is a good player, but we can’t afford him.
Do we empty our purses on the doorstep and the club says who we can afford…..
Ah, fair enough. I don’t necessarily agree with the sentiment but you may not be wrong. I would like to think that there is a shortlist of players drawn up as part of the transfer strategy that we are just not made aware of. I suspect that what is reported in the media is just a very small subset of conversations that actually occur. That said, I have no evidence to support that theory nor dispute yours. I just would be shocked if they are proceeding as haphazardly as is implied by the media reports.
I hope as you do that’s there’s a plan, and yes I was being sarcastic and a little desperate given recent non events lol.
I’m just beginning to remember 2010 and Galliani on the beg for players 😂
Good player, surprised to see a decent link with all of the latest transfer fails of late. Probably fake news though.
So… Loan+option to buy is now called a “Morata-style operation”??? FFS, those kind of deals were made already in the 80s and 90s – more likely even before that – so why the f*** should it be called “Morata-style”? Why not Tomori-style? Morata is disgusting – and awful.
Just making mouth to buy player you biting you don’t know you will need to buy player how you know you don’t have money why you buy the thing
I don’t really understand but good point.
Pretty sure it was recently announced that those two year loans with obligation was recently prohibited in italy or at minimum forbidden in in the following years,
Not only in Italy but in all European leagues as it was a decision made by UEFA. No more 2 year loans.
Thanks for the clarification bb was pretty sure that i had heard something had changed in that regard.
Just double-checked… It’s actually FIFA who made the new rules and one of the rules that is already in place is that the maximum length of a loan is one year. So it’s a world wide rule – not valid only in Europe as I previously said.
There is no way sassoulo allow that. This article are fake
