PM: Milan among four clubs keen on versatile midfielder who cost Spurs €60m

AC Milan could reignite their interest in signing Giovani Lo Celso from Spurs as he seems to be out of their plans, according to a report.

It is well known that Milan met with Spurs director Fabio Paratici in Italy last week and numerous sources have reported that defender Japhet Tanganga and Sergio Reguilon plus midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and Pape Matar Sarr were discussed.

However, PianetaMilan report that Lo Celso is also the subject of Milan’s interest. The 25-year-old Argentina international has an Italian passport and returned to London after spending the second half of last season on loan with Villarreal.

The LaLiga side would like to keep him, while Napoli and Fiorentina in Serie A are keen, but the Rossoneri followed Lo Celso for a long time in the 2022 winter transfer market and even came close to an agreement.

Given can play in a two-man midfield or as a playmaker, he could be an alternative to Renato Sanches. Several sources such as The Guardian reported at the time that Spurs paid €60m to sign him from Real Betis.
