Yesterday, AC Milan women played out a 0-0 draw with Como at the Velodromo Attilio Pavesi. As a result, they have missed out on the chance to catch Juventus a little.
In the race for a Champions League spot, Milan need to pick up results wherever possible, and the hope was that yesterday’s game against Como would provide a chance for that. However, Suzanne Bakker’s side could not muster a win.
Match report
The game started in a lively manner, with the Rossonere coming out aggressively and even coming close to scoring in the first three minutes, when Van Dooren put one away. However, it was ruled offside.
Chances continued through the first stages, with Mascarello coming close a few minutes into the game, too. However, things quietened as Como got into the game a little bit. Indeed, their only real chance of the first period came 33 minutes in.
In a similar fashion to the opening of the first half, the Diavola came out on top again at first, testing the Como keeper a few times in the early stages. However, they could not create anything of note. Again, the visitors had chances, but like their hosts, they had no luck in front of the goal.
A disappointing draw, indeed.
