Adli admits Milan have ‘struggled’ but they must perform ‘for the fans’

AC Milan midfielder Yacine Adli has admitted that the Rossoneri are struggling at the moment but they have to keep on performing for the fans as well as themselves.

Speaking during an interview with The National in which Ismael Bennacer was also present, Adli offered his thoughts on the season so far for Milan.

Adli was speaking after the 2-2 draw against Lecce in Serie A, but he immediately referenced the importance of the 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

“Last week was a really important game,” said Adli, sitting alongside Bennacer. “We played a very good game in a crazy atmosphere, and we were very happy.

He then moved on to talk about the form in Serie A which has been inconsistent at best this season. Milan are trailing behind Inter and Juventus in the title race and a change of form is needed.

“We struggled a little bit in Serie A these last months, but we know the way is long in the Champions League and in Serie A [Milan are third in the table after 12 matches]. So we will try to keep working and do more every day to reach our goals,” he said.

“It’s not easy every day. But it’s our job. We have to do it and we will do it because, like I said, we are in such a big club and we need to do it for the club, for the fans and for us also.”

Adli has been enjoying a lot more game time this season than the previous year, filling in for Rade Krunic when the Bosnian was suffering from an injury.

  1. Man I feel sorry for him, that douche Pioli is doing him injustice. Pobega and Krunic at the same time in the field, it was bound to fail.

    1. Again out of nowhere blame on krunic and pobega. Did you remember how adli make a foolish penalty for the opponent?

      1. When you have nothing to say, just keep quiet. You mustn’t comment on every post. Adli caused a penalty and that make him foolish. Have Krunic cause a penalty before? Zlatan, Maldini, Gattuso, name them! The point here is that in a match you need a lot of creativity which Adli has, then in addition, a destroyer, Pobega or Krunic is. Why playing two destroyers at the same time yet you want to win games?

        1. Dont reply my post next time.

Btw My point is why when article about adli, about other things , why always pobega n krunic got blame LOL. And even when they played the match well. Its musah thats to blame and here we go the haters is back with krunic and pobega…

What a foolish hater. Once again dont reply my post crybaby who feel like crying hearing other opinion

          1. I’m not for Adli to play that deep role, he doesn’t have that natural focus and awareness of positioning. But when we play 4231 why Pobega instead of Adli who’s natural behind the strikers? That is my problem.

  2. Yeah, we’ve struggled since Pioli stopped playing him and went back to Krunic. He should go somewhere else where the coach values creative players, where he won’t have to sit behind mediocre donkeys with no vision.

  3. At this point, it’s so obvious Pioli is letting his love life alter his decisions. Adli is clearly the better option but gets 0 minutes.
