Anto Vitiello writes in his column for MilanNews that the new players are gradually being integrated, and that De Ketelaere will soon take over as the starting attacking midfielder after coming off the bench against Udinese and Atalanta.
He could start against Bologna on Saturday, because quality players must be played and Milan this year is really spoiled for choice on the frontline. There will of course be continuous rotation because of the hectic schedule, but there is a lot of enthusiasm to see the €35m signing from minute one.
Vitiello adds that Milan’s shortcoming remains on the right side and that it would be interesting to see Yacine Adli on the field as well as De Ketelaere. The Frenchman had a good pre-season but is yet to make his Serie A debut, so ‘the ideal’ would be for Pioli to be able to find a formation where Adli and De Ketelaere play together.
