Agent of Pobega expecting big things: “He can complete the Milan midfield”

The agent of Tommaso Pobega has made it clear that his client is ready for his first full season with the AC Milan senior side after a few loan spells.

Pobega returned to Milan this summer after a second loan spell in Serie A – this time at Torino after spending the previous campaign at Spezia – and the Rossoneri management have decided to consider him part of the squad for next season.

Three years of constant growth have seen the 23-year-old become a real asset to the Rossoneri, as seen by the 10 goals and 6 assists in 53 Serie A matches he has thus far during his two loans, though training and preseason friendlies will help Pioli to understand what the best role is for him.

Patrick Bastianelli – who is Pobega’s agent – spoke to Sky about the development of his client up to this point and also revealed his belief that he is very much ready for a big role in the current side, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“Tommaso made the right growth path, played in the lower leagues and then played a leading role at Spezia and Torino. Thanks to Juric he has grown a lot in the last season and is now ready to compete in a high-level club like Milan,” he said.

“I think he can represent a new signing, in my opinion he will be ready when he is called into question. He is a super guy, on and off the pitch, he is a worker with the right attitude, also for the characteristics he has, he can complete the Milan midfield. Last year he showed he can play in multiple roles, both as an infantryman and as an attacking midfielder.”
