Agent admits summer Italy move could await Zurich defender who attended a Milan game

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of FC Zurich defender Becir Omeragic has admitted that he spoke with some Serie A clubs in January over a move amid links with AC Milan.

Journalist Luca Bendoni broke the news in December that Omeragic had attended a Milan game as he published a photo of the 19-year-old present at the defeat against Napoli. According to him, Milan are keeping an eye on the defender whose contract with Zürich will expire in 2023.

In the end he did not leave the Swiss club before the end of the window but he continues to be mentioned in the orbit of Milan and other Italian clubs given his potential at just 20 years of age and the fact one of his representatives is former Milan centre-back Cristian Zaccardo.

Francesco Di Frisco – the agent of Omeragic – was asked by Tuttomercatoweb about a possible arrival in Serie A for his client in the summer.

“It will be an important window to see him in Italy. We talked to some teams, we even went to some locations. But if he gets into the Champions League and wins the title with Zurich, it will clearly be necessary to make some evaluations,” he said (via MilanLive).

Di Frisco admits that the idea of Italy as destination is very welcome to the defender.

“He saw the Italian dolce vita, he fell in love with Italy. We also saw a good match, he liked the atmosphere.”
