AC Milan’s 2023/24 pre-season has come to an end and all that is left to do is train for the opening Serie A game of the season away at Bologna.
That game kicks off on Monday night at 20:45 CEST, but Milan have played a remarkable eight matches over the summer.
The teams faced were, in order: Lumezzane, Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona, Monza, Trento, ES Sahel and Novara.
Stefano Pioli’s side won three matches, which were against Lumezzane, ES Sahel and Novara. The two draws were against Juventus and Monza, which were both followed by one penalty shootout loss against Juventus and one shootout win against Monza.
There were three defeats, against Real Madrid, Barcelona and Trento. In total, Milan scored 20 goals in the eight games, and conceded 10.
The joint top scorers for Milan across the eight games were Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Lorenzo Colombo, who got three goals each. Surprisingly, there was not a single goal for Rafael Leao.
