Ruben Loftus-Cheek became a bit of a forgotten name last season, but Massimiliano Allegri hopes to lead his resurgence.
As MilanNews recall, on various occasions when Milan’s management have met with journalists, there has always been an opportunity to discuss Loftus-Cheek, the English midfielder who was virtually sidelined by injuries last year.

Tare mentioned him, suggesting he could replace Reijnders: “Loftus-Cheek is one of the most complete midfielders in Europe. He could be a key player for AC Milan next season.” Allegri called him “a very important player who scored 12 goals two years ago.”
These words and expressions of admiration, but also and above all, should instil confidence in a player who was severely demoralised by physical problems last year. If he were to regain his full strength, Allegri knows he could still make a difference.
As previously mentioned and as confirmed by the quotes from Tare and Allegri, the RLC mission has officially begun. To revitalise a player who struggled as much as the Chelsea man did last season, a very powerful burst of energy is needed, and who better than Max Allegri?
The new head coach is already shown in his first two weeks of work at Milanello that he wishes to work on RLC, who is heavily involved in tactical exercises and is repeatedly spoken to by both Allegri and various members of his staff.
The feeling is that if Loftus-Cheek can be mentally recovered and his physical condition preserved, Milan will be able to gain a new addition to the midfield.

only an idiots believe into Rubish loftus-Chesse, no wonder
Why every recent coach of Milan like RLC
i just dont get it.
so do I,mate. I think its just nonsense news, after 3-4 matches that blacky will be at hospital again
fellow Daniel here. 🙂 because on paper RLC is amazing. Big, Fast, Can dribble, Can Score, does not mind defending if need to, Good in the air. But sooner or later Allegri will realize, as good as he looks (or is) , if he cant play 2 games in a row, he is next to useless
Because he has no choice. He has a 40 year old midfielder an over hyped Italian and the rest just the same rubbish we had last year.
Decent player but injury a lot.
I still believe in him
RLC is a player that missed (due to injuries) 27 games last season, and also missed 10 games in his first season. At Chelsea he missed 15 games in his last season there; 8 games missed the season before. And he will be 30 years old at the middle of the season (in january). The smart thing to do is look to send him back to a team in the Premier, a transfer fee of 8-10 M would be ok, but mostly, the club would win by freeing up hos salary, that is 4 M net per year, he has not justified at all that salary, i mean he’s the second best paid player in the squad (along Pulisic who is also 4 M net a year, and along Chukwueze also at 4 M net who is another one that does not justifies his salary).
Sell RLC, 10 M, put 15 M from the budget and go for Javi Guerra from Valencia (25 M), who is on a salary net of around € 200,000 per year. So Milan could (and should) part ways with RLC and use that 4 M salary to cover both Jashari and Guerra salaries, is a no brainer
This has got to be a late April Fools joke
In form and not injured he has characteristics that a lot of teams need and coaches like.
The problem is that he is injury prone. He comes back needing playing time but comes to a team that is just not working and he doesn’t perform.
This!!! Exactly this. He has characteristics that are good but he’s too injury prone to fully take advantage of them.
Well, I don’t remember pictires of him posted neither Gullit’s hair after he absolutely destroyed PSG in the group stage two years ago, but other than that brilliant game and a few good ones among the decent ones, stability is needed, and with his injury record, that is one hell of a gamble. The fact he’s 30 shouldn’t prevent him getting his chance- He’s og ra decade on Modric and we just brought him in!
But i don’t see what happens if he starts the first 3 matches and gets injured. Who replaces him? Musah? Saelemaekers? Chuk pushing Puli central?
Modric, Ricci, RLC, Fofana, Jashari + whoever we can’t sell of Bennacer, Musah, Adli, Bondo, Pobega. It’s an overcrowded midfield with few guarantees. Where a youth player would ever get a game is beyond me.
It’s not a gamble, he’s already on the squad, they are not taking a chance on him. If they sign Jashari RLC will most likely be a back-up anyways and he could be a very useful one so I don’t think we need to worry about if he gets injured, we still have a very deep midfield with Modric, Ricci, Fofana, RLC , Musah Bondo, and god forbid Pobega if needed. ANd that’s without signing Jashari. Let’s hope he doesn’t get injured but even if he does we have plenty of backup.
They like their heights!
and runs without thinking, walks with dreaming. Best for NBA
Milan top officers thought this is a basketball team. hahaha 😉
