The current gap between the two clubs is clear and starts from a different management structure that brings benefits to the coach, specifically Simone Inzaghi. The choice of the next coach becomes crucial for Milan, especially after the mistakes of the past 12 months.
It all started with the Julen Lopetegui affair, who appeared destined to take over from Stefano Pioli. Then the decision was made to hire Paulo Fonseca, who lasted just a few months, before Sergio Conceicao replaced him and was never supported as he should have been.
Candidates to be Milan’s next coach
At least two strong candidates have emerged from the club’s internal discussions. First and foremost, there is the name of Massimiliano Allegri, supported by part of the Rossoneri management.
The former Juventus coach has a winning CV, knows the club very well, wants to take some revenge against Juve for the way things ended there and is free to start working pretty much immediately. These are all attractive characteristics in the eyes of the Rossoneri.
Giorgio Furlani also greatly appreciates Vincenzo Italiano, the Bologna coach. He will be opponent both in the league on Friday and in the Coppa Italia final at the Olimpico on May 14. There has been no contact (so far) with either coach, and this is the news that worries the fans.
The wait for the choice of the new sporting director means a wait for the managerial appointment too. Furlani has taken the reins, carrying out several discussions that have not led to a definitive decision yet. The feeling is that news will only come at the end of the season.

Sergio is not the one… but these two names are no better (Italiano is a gamble). So keep Sergio instead if you guys have nothing better to offer.
I also don’t think Sergio is the one, but I’d keep him over Allegri. I don’t know how to evaluate Italiano. I think he’s done fantastically well with a Bologna that lost its prior coach and their best three players last summer. His stint at Fiorentina was mixed, but he reached a European final twice in a row. Perhaps given a better squad and more resources (relative to Bologna and Fiorentina), he could be very successful.
Can you explain to us how Allegri knows the environment so well? Who is at the club from when he was coach? And what do we have to do with the fact that he wants to join Juventus? Is it as he promised Milan when he took over Juventus? I don’t understand texts like this.
Allegri has been to Milanello. That’s pretty much it nowadays. 🙂
