Juve manager Allegri says Milan and Inter are ‘ahead of everyone’ in Scudetto race

The season has officially begun and AC Milan started it in the best way possible, beating Udinese 4-2 in front of a big crowd at San Siro. And the Rossoneri are one of two favourites for the Scudetto, Max Allegri argues.

Milan haven’t made as much noise as Juventus and Inter on the market, or Roma for that matter, but they have made smart investments. Divock Origi arrived on a free, Yacine Adli has returned from his loan spell and Charles De Ketelaere was signed for €35m.

Yesterday’s performance showed that there are some things to work on, as you would expect, but it also confirmed that Milan are a very strong side. As per Allegri, the Juventus manager, the Rossoneri and Inter are ahead of everyone.

“We [Juventus] have the duty to try to win, the rivals have strengthened. There are 4-5 suitors and we are among them. We have to work in silence and improve the team from all points of view. Inter and Milan are ahead of everyone, but Roma also intrigue me because they have done well on the market,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).

Inter had to fight hard for their win against Lecce last night as Denzel Dumfries scored the winner in the 95th minute. Milan are the strongest team for now, by the looks of it, but that can change.
