Despite some controversy involving a potential foul on Matteo Gabbia, Massimiliano Allegri insisted in his post-match interview that AC Milan only have themselves to blame for the Pisa draw.
It was a tough evening for the Rossoneri at San Siro, losing control of the game despite what was a dominating display in the second half. Indeed, Pisa found the back of the net twice and forced Milan to fight for the point, scoring the equaliser in the 93rd minute.

That said, some have argued that Pisa’s second goal should have been disallowed to begin with, due to a pretty blatant foul on Matteo Gabbia. However, when asked about it after the game, Allegri shifted focus to their own mistakes in that moment.
“It was a long ball that caught us off guard, regardless of whether it was a foul or not. We didn’t lose, and that’s positive; at the same time, it will help us improve,” the manager said.
It’s certainly refreshing to hear a manager who doesn’t blame the referees all the time, as that is far too common in Serie A. In this case, it also made sense as Milan’s goals came under scrutiny due to vague offside directions, even if the correct decisions were seemingly made in the end.
I’ll say it again, this management needs to report Saria A to Fifa for malicious officiating. Weather the players are serious or not is totally a differnt conversation, a terrible officiating is worst than unserious players, it always leave a bitter taste if “what if” the officiating and VAR need to be doing better.
