The first athletic tests for the players are scheduled on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 July, with the squad expected by midnight on Sunday at the training complex. On Monday there will be a press conference to unveil Allegri, before the training session – open to fans and the press – scheduled for 17:00.
The former Juventus coach has already held individual discussions in recent days with some players. During the chats, the Italian motivated them to give their all in this pre-season phase, so as to be at 100% for the start of the year that will see Milan engaged only in domestic competitions.
In a feature last night, we outlined how Allegri’s plans for the preparation phase include double sessions, intense training and regular tests to see how the condition of the players is developing. In short, nothing will be left to chance.
