Watch: Allegri screams at Estupiñán after back-heel attempt at end of Bologna-Milan

A video has emerged showing Massimiliano Allegri going wild at one of his players despite AC Milan being 3-0 up against Bologna.

After the home side started on top, Milan settled and scored twice before the break through Ruben Loftus-Cheek and a penalty from Christopher Nkunku. Adrien Rabiot netted early in the second half, and the scoreline would remain 3-0.

Allegri is ever the perfectionist, and he was visibly furious when substitute Pervis Estupiñán made a failed back-heel pass attempt at 3-0 up in the 89th minute.

DAZN spotted from the sidelines that he turned around and screamed: “Oh, we’re not one of those teams that play back-heel flicks.”

In his post-match interview with DAZN, Allegri revealed his unhappiness: “Tonight was a good match, but I think we could have done even better. We need to work on these ball-handling situations. More than ball-handling, we need to work on precise and decisive plays.

    1. Estupinian makes a lot of preventable errors. I haven’t screamed as much at a player since Diogo Dalot was in this team. Not even Emerson Royal made as many mistakes.

      1. Estupiñan lost all support with his poor performances; he’s simply not at the quality level needed to defend. His carelessness and mental lapses are appalling—honestly, not even Emerson Royal was this bad. It’s a shame Theo was so salty and immature to ignore all the changes Milan had made and miss the opportunity with Allegri. But the riches of playing for the Arab oligarchs’ team were too tempting. Talk is talking cheap, money talks. He can say whatever he wants about Milan, playing into our frustration over some bad management decisions in the past. BUT he is also saving face for him going after money….
Lookm at Maignan, stand up guy, as adults he got back in the room and things got resolved.

        1. Well I think some critique of Theo is perfectly warranted but he even said himself that he wanted to stay at the club and was open to a renewal and that his demands wasn’t something crazy and he even made it clear that if he had chosen to stay for the remainder of his contract he had been told he wouldn’t play so clearly he was forced out of the club so stop making up stuff.

      2. It’s bad. He has the first touch of a 12 year old kid.

Can’t count how many times a simple ball coming to him on the wing from a center back turns into a bad giveaway when he doesn’t control it properly.

Teams know he’s a giveaway waiting to happen so they press him relentlessly.

In attack he’s not bad. Has some pace, makes good runs and can play a nice thru ball. But man he is such a liability in the buildup or when playing out from the back.

  1. Allegri wasn’t the only one screaming at Estupinan after that play. Now that others brought up the comparison, he’s exactly like Royal! Who can forget the bone headed play last season when Royal was screaming at the ref about an out of bounds ball, while the player he was responsible for ran up the pitch, received the throw in and scored the goal that killed us. Can’t remember who we were playing, but I’ll never forget that play.
