Igli Tare’s words about what AC Milan intend to do with regards to signings will have been music to the ears of Massimiliano Allegri.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) confirms that Milan will get a ‘makeover’ this summer, with a number of different signings being targeted.

It follows on from the press conference given by Igli Tare, in which he spoke of the desire to add a number of new players to strengthen the squad.
Six new signings
Two full-backs, a central defender, two midfielders and a centre-forward: it won’t be a ‘revolution’ but something that resembles it. After all, if Milan – who finished eighth last season – want to ‘turn the page immediately’ and ‘try to win the Scudetto’ then work is needed.
The CEO Giorgio Furlani said that many ‘functional and prospective signings will be needed, and at the same time at least a couple of additions in the middle of depth and experience’.
To be more specific, a centre-back will arrive if one leaves, as is likely to be the case with Tomori and Thiaw courted by the foreign market. There will be two new full-backs, one for each wing, young and with specific characteristics to fit in as best as possible.
In the midfield, once Modric is done, there will be other interventions: leadership and talent will have to combine in a mix of accomplished players and youngsters to be enhanced. The aim is to achieve ‘dominance of the game through players with great ball possession who will raise the quality even further’.
A winger is also possible if there is a sale (and there should be: either Chukwueze or Okafor) and a new striker. On the latter, Tare perfectly outlined exactly what kind of profile the Rossoneri are aiming for.
“We are looking for a striker to put in competition with Gimenez, who I consider an excellent player who has had a normal impact on our football. Santi tends to spread out: we, also speaking about it with Ibra, need a striker who makes the difference in the area, a Giroud,” he said.
Sign everyone of them early so Allegri can work with them immediately.
Very important season for us. We need to stay ahead from the start to win the Scudetto now that it is the only real thing we play for.
The more time he gets with the full squad the more he can implement.

LB and RB are hard to say… and apperently they want Giroud-esque ST to mentor Gimenez, Immobile rumors make more sense now.

Common don’t say that way…before you say something always reason to know the fact that we didn’t qualify for any European competition this coming season so we can’t get this players you’re anticipating for, so let just give Tire and Allegri some kudos cus at least they could make something really sensible from the past season we’ve had…this players we’re going for this season is really a big thing for us and trust me we’ll do well…let just give them the best support and a good winning mentality here…forzamilan❤🖤
Problem is usually it’s left till last minute… think what we might have done with all the signing last season if they weren’t thrown in half way through with a new coach… i liked conce… but what can you expect….
Am more confused now after reading this. Too many suggestions/ assumptions . What does Milan really want?
