AC Milan are among the sides who are watching River Plate playmaker Claudio Echeverri and it has emerged that he has a release clause in his contract, a report claims.

Echeverri is making a name for himself at the U17 World Cup as he netted a hat-trick against Brazil earlier this week. Several of Europe’s elite clubs have sent scouts to Indonesia to observe the 17-year-old in action, and from a number of different leagues to.

According to Diario AS (via Calciomercato.com), Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester City, Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Inter, Juventus and Milan are all paying special attention to the forward, who is nicknamed ‘El Diablito’ (the Little Devil).

Not only that, but in his current contract with River Plate there is a release clause of €30m (€25m fixed plus €5m in variables) and Los Millionarios do not want to go below this figure if they are to sell him.

Meanwhile, Echeverri and his Argentina side will face off against Germany hoping to book a place in the U17 World Cup final.
