Relevo: Milan, Chelsea and Man Utd disappointed as Real Madrid change stance over playmaker

Real Madrid will offer Marco Asensio a new contract during the upcoming break for the World Cup which might just end AC Milan’s interest, a report claims.

According to Relevo (via GFNS), Real Madrid are hoping that Asensio will agree fresh terms with them before the January transfer window opens given he would be free to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club given his current deal runs out at the end of the season.

The list of clubs mentioned as having shown an interest are Juventus, Milan, Chelsea and Manchester United but the player has also made his stance clear: his priority is to remain at Real Madrid.

It is a change in stance from the Los Blancos hierarchy who decided not to make him any offer to extend his contract during the last summer window and were even open to listening to offers for him, though they were asking for €50m which put suitors off.
