There are a few teams considering moves for Yunus Musah this summer, and it seems that one may be about to drop out, at AC Milan’s will.
Signing Musah in this mercato has been an option for quite a few clubs, even Milan have considered giving him another chance, with Allegri reportedly keen to see the American’s traits. However, an exit looks more likely than him remaining.

With that said, the terms have to be correct, and so far, they have not been, as proven by the fact that he remains at the club.
Musah to Atalanta: Probably not
Nottingham Forest and Napoli have been the two biggest pursuers of the midfielder this summer, though there has also been other interest from England. On the other hand, the Neapolitan outfit have been the only real source of interest from Italy.
That was until Atalanta joined the mix. However, their interest may be cut short before it has really had a chance to be run with. According to Daniele Longo on X, the Rossoneri are heading ‘towards a no’ concerning a move to Bergamo.
There is no specification why this may be the case, but considering the initial reports of interest stated that there were no figures on the table, this could be why.
You’ve kept mentioning Forest for about 2 months now. They’ve just signed Douglas Luiz (helping Juventus avoid financial meltdown). They’re not also signing Musah.
I wonder if there’d be an opportunity to loan him out somewhere – IMO he could do with starting games in a consistent position for a while and having some stability – a dry loan could work wonders for him.
Allegri wants to have him in his team, not loan him.
Musah gives them depth at wingback, fullback, midfield and even forward/winger late in games. Allegri probably likes his youth and versatility. His decision-making has been suspect at Milan. He’s done better on the US national team in that department, where his errors are rarer and not as egregious.
He’s only 22 and needs playing time. I’d like to see him loaned out for a year and play somewhere else as a starter but Allegri seems to want him.

Musah is staying at Milan. Allegri decided this 2 months ago. 100% information. He “put his foot down” in this case.
Tne kid is damn useful in the current squad under the command of Allegri.
And most importantly – unlike previous seasons, Tare will never sell our good players to direct rivals in Serie A
I’d opt to keep him. Maybe he does deserve another chance. With that said, he may not find much playing time here unless he reverses his form.

No he can’t. Nobody wants him. He could probably go to some amateur league club but that’s it.
Regardless of what Musah is, at this point we’re three days from the start of the season and 10 days from the end of the transfer window. I think it will be ill advised to sell Musah given that he’s obviously a squad player. We’d have to find a replacement and that’s easier said than done, never mind all of the churn in the midfield so far. Just bring in that striker, another CB, sell the deadwood like Adli and Bennacer, and we’re done for now.
To think we could have sold Musah and/or RLC/Fofana for basically the money we got for TIJI. It makes me ill
