AC Milan are in talks to sign two USA international players as their work early in the transfer window continues, according to a report.
According to James Horncastle’s latest for The Athletic, Milan are in talks over a deal for Yunus Musah of Valencia, holds an Italian passport so he would not take up one of the non-EU slots that the Rossoneri have left.
The 20-year-old joined Valencia from Arsenal in 2019 and has made 108 appearances for them in the last three seasons which is no small return given he is still young. He is regularly selected in the US team too, playing every game at the 2022 World Cup.
The report adds that Milan are in talks over his compatriot Christian Pulisic too. Talks with Chelsea did not stop after the Ruben Loftus-Cheek deal, which was officially confirmed last night. Given he only has an English passport, he will take up a non-EU spot.
Those two and kamada should make a decent and at least more balanced team than last season, still worried if we don’t get a natural DM since none out of bennacer, RLC, Musah and the AZ kid actually is. An also we need a ST but origi is still here so who knows
Hmmm the Athletic 🤔 🤔🤔🤔 interesting…..
Wow the Athletic even took James Horncastle. Their business model was quite interesting..they basically offered all the top sports writers and created a very strong base for their brand. Then built their rep off of that. I wonder what their returns are like? Plus they get (usually) reliable gossip.rifht the first time
They built a solid brand and something genuinely worth paying for, it’s really good quality and you can find offers where it’s a few bucks a month only.
Reliable, good journos and a site that isn’t overloaded with adverts.
It’s not new with football though, it’s had top coverage of US sports for ages.
They got bought by the New York Times a couple of years back, so I don’t think it’s financials are public knowledge.
