MilanNews report that Ismael Bennacer, Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie are the midfielders that Stefano Pioli will rely on from now until the end of the season for the double pivot, and that is because Bakayoko is completely out of the Milan project.
The Frenchman’s agents were in Milano yesterday and assessments have been made about the future of the midfielder, because he has not played for the Rossoneri since 17 January in the 2-1 home defeat by Spezia.
As mentioned, the player arrived last summer on a two-year loan (until June 2023) but given that he has barely played in 2022 his return to Chelsea at the end of this season now seems likely, with updates expected in the coming weeks regarding the plans for the former Monaco man.
