AC Milan should soon be able to announce the renewal of Ismaël Bennacer’s contract beyond the current deadline of 2024, with some important news regarding his release clause.
According to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), virtually everything has been agreed between the parties and Bennacer will sign a new contract until 30 June 2026, thus extending the current deadline by two years to further lock up his long-erm future.
His salary will be €3.2m net per season plus bonuses which constitutes a significant pay rise, and the agreement is the result of fruitful contacts between the club’s management and Bennacer’s entourage since the first discussions, while the media were focused on Theo Hernandez and other operations.
However, it remains to be understood whether Bennacer’s new contract will keep the €50m release clause or not. The clause is valid in his current deal but only for foreign clubs and only if the amount is paid in a single instalment, but it could well be removed.
Overrated player. 50m is ridiculous. I would sell him half the price.
Quality player. just needs to find his form. clause should be removed as stupid english clubs pay stupid millions more for stupid rubbish like maguire
Leave the clause alone. We would never get beyond 50 for him & if we get 50 – that would be a first quality sale in YEARS.
Maybe improve it to 75-80M
