MN: Bennacer returns to training with the squad ahead of Genoa game

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer returned to training at Milanello today and will be available for the game against Genoa on Friday, a report claims.

MilanNews report how Ante Rebic and Samu Castillejo returned to training with the rest of the squad during yesterday’s session, and now Stefano Pioli will recover another player who missed the last game against Torino due to muscle fatigue.

Bennacer returned to training with the squad and therefore has fully recovered for the match against Genoa scheduled for Friday evening at San Siro, and it is a boost given that he scored the last winning goal for the Rossoneri as his volley sealed the 1-0 win over Cagliari.

However, there is still no development on Alessio Romagnoli’s condition as he continued training alone due to an adductor problem, so it will in all likelihood be up to Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu as the centre-back pairing.

  1. PLEASE Isma and Rebic — stay healthy!!! We need both of you for these final games… we need goals and Ante can score for us. He has finished previous seasons very strong and we need goals now more than ever as it seems Giroud may be getting burnt out playing more minutes than expected due to injuries to both Ibra and Rebic.
