AC Milan will have a task on their hands with the sale of Ismael Bennacer, and it is due to the will of the player.
This summer, there are several players who can and should leave Milan, and Bennacer is one of them. The midfielder has struggled for a few seasons now and should really be heading on his way. It is proving to be more difficult than that, though.

In an ideal world, the parties agree on an exit that pleases everyone. But, with Marseille pulling out of the race, there is no queue of suitors for the Algerian. Instead, it is proving to be a limited market.
Issues for Ismael
As Calciomercato.com write this afternoon, there is only one offer on the table for the midfielder: a €10 million bid from Al Ittihad. The Rossoneri are ‘ready to negotiate’. Though Bennacer is not interested.
He is ‘yet to respond’ and is seemingly ‘unwilling’ to move to Saudi Arabia, which the report deems to be a shock, considering his previous admissions. Meetings will take place shortly to find an outcome.

Of course, Theo Hernandez was formerly of the same viewpoint. However, he eventually moved to the Middle East. Perhaps, something similar can happen with Bennacer, but there needs to be changes quickly. If not, the Rossoneri could be left helpless.

Bennacer is the biggest waste of space. Every time he wanted to leave he made sure he left it to the very last second. Just go to saudi and shut up, hopefully you dont hurt yourself on international duty again.
And by every time you mean that one and only time?
twice, the first time we obviously didnt manage to sell him since he wanted to leave on the last day.
When? It happened only last year when he went to Marseille in the end? When is the second time he asked to leave last minute?
at the end of the summer transfer market last season.
Sorry, you said last second, not minute. I am really curious when, I don’t remember it.
he asked to be transferred during both transfer windows on the last day. First one didn’t work, second one was “Successful”.
Did not happen. Milan wanted to sell him from July 1st 2024, but especially after buying Fofana.
His agent said a year or a one and a half ago that it was his dream to move there in a couple of years. Guess he wanted a free transfer there then.
No worries, the Saudis will start increasing the salary figures until they hit something he will accept. It may actually be a ploy from the Bennacer camp to get them to increase. The money there is limitless.
Probably.
Sure It might be a ploy to get a higher salary but I do recall his agent saying it and Bennacer is a muslim so who knows it might make more sense for him than others. Personally I wouldn’t even go there if my life depended on it as I could see a bleak future for me there as I do believe in free speech, drinking alcohol and blasphemy without any repercussions for that matter 😀
Martin if you are rich not a problem even there. But if not…it would be funny if you left for Saudi Arabia if your life dependent on it just to lose it because you got drunk and insulted the prophet. Well not funny funny but ironical.
Ok well that doesn’t sound fair does it 😀 I was speaking more about blasphemy in general not specifically towards the profet but all religions. Well I know where not to travel as I could see me sailing down a sh1t creek of trouble so wouldn’t test the idea even for all the money they are able to pay down there. Could name a bunch of places though in the world that I would strongly avoid.
Well I don’t know you personally but in general people don’t make the best choices when drunk. Not on purpose but things happen.
Alcohol isn’t always good thats for sure but I certainly prefer to have the choice 😀 Anywho I think there would also be a great chance that I simply would die of a heat stroke down there.
Me 2 🤣. I never forget when my friend from Dubai (local, born there) wore a jacket on a 29 degree cloudy day. Wasn’t a winter jacket but still. We are just built different.
😀 sounds already too hot for me but im also from Northern Europe in Denmark. At some point I was visiting Malta in July and came down there with a fullbeard but luckily had brought my shaver so it all went off quickly as it was maybe 40 celsius and I was freaking slowly dying.
Bennacer is a muslim but I don’t know how much he’ll enjoy living there.
He is an Algerian and Saudi Arabia (or Gulf countries in general) are particularly racist towards North Africans.
His agent said it was his dream but I didn’t know that Giga94 well that would make sense if he wouldn’t like to live there then.
Just sent him to Futuro, alongside Origi.
My thoughts exactly..
Yeah, because that worked so well.
If he’s here, I want the club to make the best use of him.
It might work. Give him an option – Futuro ot Saudi’s. If we keep him in the first team he might even think that he is needed, and will play.
Delist him from the first team and send him to Futuro. Bennacer, Adli, Chukwueze, Okafor, and Musah can all do the same until they find a new club. Understand that they will get 0 minute under Allegri once the season starts, there is no point training with the first team. Be gone.
Seems to be working well with Adli so far.
you are dumb and your comment is dumb.
Bennacer wants to leave. Okay that is what you have an agent for. The agent brings offers to the club that meet the parameters of all parties.
I appreciate Bennacers work in the Scudetti season, but he came back from injury in the shape of a melon, then moaned his way out last winter.
Get your agent to do their job Benny. You’ve used up all the good will.
Respect to him if he wants to play in Europe rather than Saudi
Well, if there only would be a single club from Europe that wants him.
Whats the problem? just keep him
10m is no huge payday and he would be very useful. He is and has always been a better player than RLC or Musah and he is not 40 like Modric.
Right now the only reliable midfielders we have are Fofana and Ricci.
I think he has burnt bridges with the club.
Suspect there is no turning back.
Two windows in a row where he demanded an exit on the last day of the transfer window. Last season it really left us short of midfield options for the UCL knock-out games as a result. Due to the rules only allowing 3 list A changes.
Maybe he’s holding out for Pioli at Fiorentina.
Or just more money for a Saudi move.
I used to like Benacer a lot but he messed up big time last season. I will be mad at him if it is on the last hour of the mercato he will be pushing to go. That will be sabotage!
I like Jashari. But Milan have it already at home, Bennacer.
