Berardi admits he is ‘living a dream’ after 10th goal against Milan: “They bring me luck”

Domenico Berardi has admitted that playing against AC Milan seems to bring him some kind of luck as he again scored against the Rossoneri.

With the game balanced on a knife edge at 2-1 to Sassuolo and Milan pushing for an equaliser, it was the Neroverdi who got the all-important next goal to make it 3-1, and it came from a familiar enemy in Berardi. Kessie was sloppy in giving possession away in a dangerous area but in truth Romagnoli should have done a lot better to prevent a shot from his compatriot who finished from a tight angle.

Berardi spoke to DAZN at the end of the game and was asked how he feels after scoring the goal that really sealed the win for his side.

“I am very happy, it seems to me that I am living a dream. This team deserved to get the three points. We’ve been performing very well lately but haven’t picked up wins. Today, however, we played on a difficult field against a great team, I have to congratulate the boys,” (via MilanNews).

Today was Berardi’s 10th goal against Milan in his 15th game against the Rossoneri, with four assists to add to that as well. The winger marked his 250th appearance in Serie A in the best possible way, with memories still fresh of the four goals he scored in January 2014 at the Mapei Stadium and his hat-trick in May 2015 against the Rossoneri.

Berardi was asked why his numbers against Milan are so impressive: “I don’t know, they bring me luck. I always score goals and I hope to continue like this.”

    1. Yep, management are thinking along these lines too. It was a tradition, a player terrorizes Milan on the pitch, Milan add him to their transfer list!
