Markus Krösche has been linked with the vacant sporting director position at AC Milan in recent days, but a Bild journalist has poured cold water on the idea.
It was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport over the weekend that Giorgio Furlani is considering at least four candidates, with the usual names – Fabio Paratici and Igli Tare – joined by Krösche and Monaco’s Thiago Scuro.
The German has done good work at both RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt, bringing in players like Dani Olmo, Christopher Nkunku and Angelino with the former as well as Randal Kolo Muani and Omar Marmoush with the latter.
The Eintracht director is tied to the German club with a contract until 2028, and Radio Rossonera spoke to Darian Leicher from Bild about what Krösche would like to do in the future.
“He would like to stay at Eintracht until his contract expires. His intention is to continue building there. [His work is] Very good, his transfers speak for themselves, like Kolo Muani and Marmoush,” he said.
“He is highly regarded in the Bundesliga, and is definitely responsible for Eintracht’s current form, as well as certainly having a large share of the credit for winning the 2022 Europa League. There are only positive things about him.”
Just hire Paolo Maldini, you incompetent MF management . He is the ONE for he position
Move on already. Maldini made a lot mistakes. Yes he did a good job but we need to the next stage. Bringing Maldini will just amper the club internally.
Maldini was our technical director not sporting director. That was Ricky Massara role.
There is a difference between technical director and sporting director. Move on and stop living in the past man. Smh
I understand your ire man.
But I doubt Maldini would want to come. Back to the same sorts that sold him out, and ruined the club by throwing his advice to the curb.
Heck the way the Maldini gamy has been treated by Redbird doesn’t give any intention of future collaboration.
So for now we just gotta let Maldini rest from this catastrophe that is Milan.
I do miss him tho and wish he was still here.
Man not only bled for the club with love and all, but actually had visions and goals on how to move the club forward. Oh well we can only look at what could have been…
People who think Maldini would/could come back to work with the people who fired him are so naive. Even if Maldini said yes, you REALLY think the chemistry would be there? They’d all enjoy every meeting together and long look gazes into the eyes of the fellow management members. Holding hands while watching the sunrise? Yeah. Sounds plausible.
Thank you!
the problem is all the candidate isn’t better than Maldini,
i dont mind if it’s not Maldini, but get someone better
