Bild: Milan, Liverpool and Newcastle among admirers of €70m Leverkusen star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are one of the clubs who have taken an interest in signing Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen, according to a report.

Milan continue to be linked with a number of different targets for the centre-back role given the injury crisis in that position, with Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer the only fit options at the moment. Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw, Marco Pellegrino and Mattia Caldara are all out injured until the new year.

According to BILD, Milan are interested in Bayer Leverkusen along with Newcastle United, Liverpool and Roma, with all four clubs currently looking for the right profile to bolster the centre-back position.

Hincapie has been linked with a move to Milan before and he has a release clause worth around €70m in his contract at the moment. He has become a centrepiece of a Leverkusen side who look like genuine frontrunners in the race to win the Bundesliga title.

The 21-year-old also starts for the Ecuador national team and he can play as a left-back if needed too, which could help the Rossoneri given they want a deputy to Theo Hernandez too.

  1. I am also an admirer of a Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti, but no way in hell I can ever afford that car.

I am sure our management are also admires of Bellingham, Haaland and many more.

What is this article doing here?

  2. In this physical universe we occupy, there is absolutely no way Milan spends 70mil on any given player.

It’s like window shopping at the store you could never afford.
