Bild: RB Leipzig pushing hard to sign €30m-rated Milan target and agree terms

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of RC Lens striker Lois Openda as RB Leipzig have agree terms with him, a report claims.

According to a report from Bild in Germany, discussions between RB Leipzig and RC Lens are ongoing to find an agreement over the transfer fee with the Ligue 1 side asking for €30m for the Belgian having paid €10m to sign him last summer.

The Bundesliga side finished behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund meaning they too will be playing Champions League football next season, and they are moving quickly to replace the Chelsea-bound Christopher Nkunku.

Leipzig have reached a verbal agreement over personal terms with Openda and his entourage, with just an agreement on fee between the clubs missing. The 22-year-old scored 21 goals and amassed four assists in 38 games in his first season at Lens.

    1. No my friend is confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, He’ll go to RB Leipzig, discussions are still ongoing between clubs to get the deal done.
Openda says yes and agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig

  1. The more we wait the less option will be out there. Inter is already asking about Retegui, Juve about Scamacca…

  2. Let us Focus the the srriker from Serie B of League 1,and Feynood striker S Jemenez as wel as Victor Bonaface.
And No 10 From River Plate of Bertman

  3. Let us be realistic, he does not have the physical attributes of a true striker, he lacks size, the club needs to get a powerful striker with size..

    1. I agree, too many ‘the new thing’ type players get linked. The strategy needs to be carefully considered. We need a CF (Scamacca) a no 10 (SMS) and a RW (Berardi)

Now whether we can afford that or not is a big question. The GK and defence are well set in my opinion. The first choice pivot of Tonali and Bennacer is world class

    2. This. The squad already lacks physicality. Ideally, the new striker is at least 6 feet tall and strong. We need guys that will command the box and help us break down the bus parking clubs. Scamacca, Thuram or someone along those lines. Obviously there are bigger names in this category, but we can’t afford them.

      1. How about Enes Unal? 6′ 2″ and 14 goals in La Liga for Getafe, who just avoided relegation. And he just turned 26, so still at the beginning of his prime years. For some reason this player us going under the radar.
