CF: Blue Skye given permission to obtain documents from Elliott Management in case against sale

By Oliver Fisher -

A US judge has given AC Milan’s minority shareholder Blue Skye permission to obtain documents from Elliott Management regarding the sale of the club to RedBird Capital, a report claims.

According to a report from Calcio e Finanza (via Calciomercato.com), Blue Skye are far from happy about the process under which the transfer of the club will take place. They own 4.27% of Project RedBlack, which is the holding company that controls 100% of Rossoneri Sport Investment, that in turn owns 99.93% of Milan.

Blue Skye Financial Partners have accused Elliott of violating their rights by engaging in several months of ‘behind closed doors’ negotiations to complete the sale of the majority of the club to RedBird Capital.

The report goes on to state that US District Judge Katherine Polk Failla in Manhattan said Blue Skye met legal standards to obtain a ‘limited’ number of documents required to be used in court proceedings in Luxembourg, to block the divestiture or obtain compensation.
