Repubblica: Bologna forward the latest name on Milan’s wish list

By Oliver Fisher -

A new name has emerged as a target for AC Milan’s attacking department in Bologna forward Marko Arnautovic, according to a report.

According to what is being reported by La Repubblica (via PianetaMilan), the Milan management might not just be content with the signing of Divock Origi for the centre-forward department especially given how much Olivier Giroud has been overworked in 2022 and the fact Zlatan Ibrahimovic might retire.

A new name to add to the wish list is Marko Arnautovic of Bologna who is having a good serious for a side that have largely been inconsistent. The Austria international has 14 goals in the league and he did Milan a favour when he equalised against Inter in the Rossoblu’s 2-1 win, which might have ended up swinging the title definitively.

However, Napoli have also got their sights on the 33-year-old as a deputy to Victor Osimhen, and also by Inter as an alternative to Edin Dzeko.

  1. As an Austrian I’m a bit torn. Such a frustrating player – massive talent, mostly wasted in his early years but also when he decided to go to China for the money (much like Insigne is throwing away some of his best years), really bad body language when things are not going his way.
On the other hand maybe the best player our country has to offer and also a real character (much like Ibra). And having watched him a lot this season he worked his butt off and played a lot of games not being 100%.
