Bonera ‘congratulated’ Milan Futuro after first Serie C point – video

By Oliver Fisher -

Milan Futuro took a step in the right direction by getting their first point in Serie C, and Daniele Bonera provided a positive assessment of how his team played.

After going a goal behind early on the game against Carpi ended 1-1 thanks to a penalty from Francesco Camarda, with Bonera’s team bouncing back after losing to Virtus Entella in their first league match.

Bonera spoke to Milan TV at full-time to reflect on what is a historic first ever point earned in Serie C, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

What did you say to the team?

“I congratulated the boys, it wasn’t easy to get back on track today. The management of the boys with the first team will happen several times. There is a great following and we are happy to be able to bring so many people to the stadium.

“Game by game we are raising the level of the individuals. I am happy for Bartesaghi, I am happy for Cuenca, in the final he was disappointed for the chance he missed. Jimenez is important in this group.”

How big was Silvano Vos’ impact?

“I have to say that we haven’t seen much of him, he’s that dynamic, enterprising player who likes to play high and be aggressive. He’s had a good impact on the group, he gives us a big hand. Injury? Just a knock today.”

And Camarda’s performance…

“We should always start from his age, even if he doesn’t like that (smiles). He was happy with the goal, I have to say that he is carving out the space he deserves. Fall and Sandri are having a good impact.”
