Report: Bordeaux confirm they have received €9m bid for midfielder – it could be from Milan

Bordeaux have received a written offer of €9m for midfielder Jean Onana, their president Gérard Lopez has announced, and AC Milan could reportedly be behind the bid.

Bordeaux are currently in crisis at the moment as they have not only suffered relegation to the second tier after finishing bottom of Ligue 1, but they have also been given an administrative relegation to the third tier.

ActuCameroun writes that this does not help Jean Onana’s interests as the World Cup approaches, even if he remains contracted to the French club until June 2026. The Cameroon international midfielder should leave the Girondins to help them raise funds and better his own career.

The 22-year-old is attracting interest from many European clubs and speaking to RMC sport, the president of Bordeaux – Gérard Lopez – revealed that he had received a written offer of €9m for Onana.

The report adds that FC Porto and Milan are the two clubs in pole position to sign Jean Onana this summer, but Galatasaray remain interested in the Cameroonian.
