AC Milan have Lille defender Sven Botman top of their list of targets as they are hoping to repeat the same operation from a year ago, a report claims.
In view of the January transfer market, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that the first name on the Milan wish list to reinforce the defence after Simon Kjaer’s severe injury is still that of Sven Botman from Lille.
The asking price is high but the Rossoneri management are trying their best and are studying a Tomori-style operation. The plan is as follows: a paid loan with the option to buy in summer 2022, which is the same formula via which the Englishman was signed from Chelsea a year ago.
Botman, a 21-year-old Dutch international, joined Lille from Ajax and has established himself as one of the best young defenders in the world with plenty of top clubs having been linked with him, hence why Milan are feeling the need to get creative.
