Torino defender reveals his plan to stop Ibrahimovic: “You have to be attached”

By Oliver Fisher -

Torino defender Gleison Bremer has made it known that he has a very specific plan in mind to keep Zlatan Ibrahimovic quiet on Sunday night.

The Rossoneri make the trip to Turin hoping to do better than Monday night when they fired a blank against Bologna at San Siro, but they will have to overcome a tricky side with a tough defence led by Bremer, who has exalted himself in a three-man back line becoming one of the more impressive young centre-backs in the league.

Interviewed on DAZN, the Brazilian talked about Sunday night’s match against the Rossoneri and he was asked how he plans to stop a legendary striker like Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“You have to be attached to someone like him, try to anticipate him. He is very big, you have to know how to make the most of your body. Unlike Osimhen of Napoli, he too has great physicality but with him you have to run away, because he always loves the ball in behind,” he said (via MilanLive).

It is worth remembering that Bremer has already scored twice in his career against Milan so they will also have to keep an eye on him, while he actually continues to be linked with a move to both Milan and Inter given that he is expected to move on this summer.
