Cagliari midfielder admits ‘dream’ to play for Milan after excellent season at Brescia

Cagliari midfielder Mattéo Tramoni has admitted that it would be a dream to one day join AC Milan or Inter in the future.

Tramoni was born in Ajaccio in France and he played for his hometown team from 2007 to 2020 having joined their youth academy at a young age. He made his professional senior debut for Ajaccio in a 3–0 Ligue 2 win against Valenciennes FC in September 2017 – aged just 17 – and scored his first goal for them later that month.

However, in 2020 he decided that it was time for a change of scenery as he uprooted and headed to the island of Sardinia where he joined Cagliari. He has made just six appearances for them but spent last season on loan at Brescia where he scored 7 times and impressed.

In an interview with Corse Matin, Tramoni revealed his ambitions for the future and admitted that he harbours the dream of one day playing for Milan or Inter at San Siro, or in the Bundesliga.

“Playing in Milan would be a dream! I was on the bench with Cagliari in Serie A. San Siro is a mythical stadium where the greatest footballers in the world have played. I also like the Bundesliga and more particularly Borussia Dortmund, but it’s another league, I have to grow above all in Italy,” he said (via MilanNews).
