MN: Calabria was substituted at half-time against Napoli due to injury – the latest

There is yet more bad injury news for AC Milan as it has emerged that Davide Calabria was substituted due to a muscle injury in the defeat to Napoli.

It seemed as though Calabria was withdraw at half time for Sergino Dest in a tactical change given that Napoli’s danger man had already drawn a yellow card from the full-back as well as Simon Kjaer, who also made way at the interval with Pierre Kalulu coming on in his place.

According to MilanNews, the reason that Calabria was replaced at half-time in favour of Dest was because he suffered a muscle strain in his flexors.

He was not called up to the Italian national team and as a result will be able to stay at Milanello and recover under observation from the medical staff, with the hope of being fit enough to face Hellas Verona straight after the break.
