Francesco Camarda once again declared his love and devotion to AC Milan after he scored twice against Celtic in a friendly today.
Friday was a big day for the future of two Milan talents, as Camarda and Christian Comotto both penned contracts until 2031. It is a gesture of renewed faith in the two Italians, both of whom are believed to have a chance of staying in the senior squad for next season.

Camarda marked the occasion in the best possible way, scoring twice inside five minutes at Celtic Park to wipe out the home side’s two-goal lead. The first was a penalty that he won and converted emphatically, while the second was a close-range header from Samuel Chukwueze’s cross.
‘A starting point’
After Ruben Amorim spoke to Sky and declared that Camarda will be staying next season, the striker himself answered a few questions from the broadcaster. His words were relayed by MilanNews.
How happy are you?
“I’m very happy. The coach and the entire staff are putting a lot of faith in me. They’re talking to me a lot about the movements they want, both for me and the whole team.
“Little by little, in training, we’re incorporating the concepts he’s asking for: it takes time. We’re at his disposal and we’re giving it our all to do what he wants.”
You and Comotto signed a contract renewal until 2031: do you feel the responsibility?
“Honestly, I grew up at Milan and I’m proud of the step I’ve taken, of this renewal. It’s definitely a starting point: I work every day to improve and make myself available to the team and the coach. Christian and I grew up at Milan and are very good friends.
“I’m happy to continue this journey at Milan and have the trust of the coach, staff, and president. Every time I step onto the pitch in training or a match, I give my all, and I know you can’t miss opportunities like this.”
How were these first two weeks with Amorim?
“The coach and the staff have brought a lot of positivity. When we have to get on the pitch and put our minds to it, we’re fully focused. When we’re on the pitch, we’re very serious and give it our all.
“I really like the style the coach is bringing. I do what he asks of me, and he’s giving the team a lot of ideas. It takes time, and we’re at the staff’s complete disposal.”
Is this a day you won’t forget?
“I’m very happy, but it’s just a starting point. They were two great goals, especially the second one with Chukwu, who played me a great ball. But now that’s already in the past, and I’m thinking ahead.
“I’m already thinking about what I have to do. In football, what happens in the past is quickly forgotten, and what matters is what happens in the present.”
What do you expect from this season?
“I expect to improve a lot, especially in the locker room where I already know most of the guys. I don’t expect anything, I’m working to improve and for the team, but above all, I’m working hard for the colors I love. There are opportunities that can’t be missed.”
I do hope so.
I feel bad for this kid. The Milan he dreamt of playing for is not there anymore. He better off leaving like Donnarumma to save his career.
