‘Have they noticed?’ – Capello questions whether Milan have learned this summer

Like they were in January, it seems AC Milan will be busy until the end of the summer mercato, and Fabio Capello has criticised this.

There are several things that can be taken from this summer: a lack of early business, a lack of Massimiliano Allegri’s targets and the undoing of the summer’s work after the first Serie A game of the season.

Few things, barring the midfield overhaul, have been considered to be overwhelmingly good for Milan. Instead, there are several contrasting views across the board, on individual and positional levels; look at the defence, for example.

Capello’s frustration

It seems that the Rossoneri are ready for a busy final few days, and this certainly brings questions as to why the club are not ready for an already ongoing season. So, Fabio Capello spoke about things to Sky Sport 24, and his words for the Diavolo were not positive, as MilanNews relays.

“What does the search mean? It’s the famous tree: goalkeeper, central defender, midfielder and attacker. But have they noticed now [that a defender is missing]? How long until the end of the transfer window?”

  1. Well Capello doesn’t want to say it but they are re*arded. I don’t remember a top club buying must have starters in last 24 hours of the window. Ever.

    1. We are NOT a top club anymore brother – not under Redbird. So sad. We are a feeder club like Atalanta at best. Some time ago the name AC Milan would make players run to play for us – now they know under these owners – it doesn’t mean as much unfortunately

  2. In the interview he says something even more important: The profiles they choose are chosen because they are available, not because they possess certain characteristics.

    1. 100% true. This is what Tare knows. He did this at Lazio, who is available for a low price, for free and so on. Does he fit the profile? Who cares.

  3. I notice Roma are just about to take Tsimikas on loan from Liverpool too! Would have been 100% better option than Estupian

  4. There is no panick. Capello may be concern as all milanistas but it is better we add quality late than never. The squad is much stronger than last season. Not been in Europe is a blessing as everyweek we have 5-7 days to recover, work and integrate. So i am not panicking at all. The Foundation is already there. Forza Milan.

  5. Our beloved Milan is not the glorious team it was years ago, in all plans, management, strategy, board of directors and players. It’s so sad, but true, we have to accept it that we have become a mediocre club.

    1. Yup. I said this many times. He was our ONLY ball-playing CB. And Max wanted to keep him. But Georgio couldn’t resist the $$ then bought a cheap replacement (who can’t even replace him lol) and now we are scrambling to find anyone. Joe Gomez??? LOLOLOLO. Well he only cost 15M so there you go. Always about saving all that $$$

We SOLD $300M and purchased $150M??? They pocket the rest. Nice for the investors, $h*t for us fans…
