Captain, goalkeeping coach and Coppa Italia draw: More key info on Milan Futuro

This morning AC Milan officially launched their Milan Futuro project to the media with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Daniele Bonera conducting a press conference, and more information continues to emerge.

Milan Futuro is the name of the U23 team that will play in Group B of Serie C, the third tier in Italy. The words of Bonera and Ibrahimovic explained some of the key principles, but we also broke down some other aspects in a recent feature such as the star players, potential signings and stadium.

A report from MilanNews confirms that the captain of Milan Futuro will be midfielder Kevin Zeroli, who wore the armband for the Primavera last year and was leader of the team coached in the last two years by Ignazio Abate. Zeroli has already had the opportunity to debut in the first team, too.

They also learned at the event today that the goalkeeping coach will be Gigi Ragno, who has played a leading role in the first team in recent years and will now be entrusted with developing the keepers of the future.

As announced during the meeting with the media, news arrived of the draw for the first round of the Coppa Italia Serie C. Milan Futuro have been drawn against Lecco and will therefore play their first match on August 11 at the Stadio Rigamonti in Lecco.
